NITASAFE 500mg tablet is used in the treatment of diarrhea and parasitic worm infections. Nitazoxanide belongs to the group of medications called antiparasitic and antiviral agents. It obstructs the production of certain chemicals and substances important for energy metabolism and growth of the parasite.
How to use
Take Nitasafe 500mg tablet orally with food as directed by your doctor, usually every 12 hours for three days. Consume with the pure glass of water.
Children 11 years old or younger then this should take the liquid form of nitazoxanide, but not the tablets. For kids, the dose is based on age.
Continue to take this medication for the full time prescribed, even if symptoms disappear after a few doses. Stop to take medicine too early may result in a rebound of the infection.
Discuss with your doctor if your condition lasts or gets worse.
rash; hives; itching; red, inflamed, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever; cough; weakness in the throat or chest; trouble breathing, swallowing, or talking; unexpected hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat.3

- Stomach pain.
- Change in color of urine.

Thanks to Nitasafe 500mg tablet, it treats diarrhea very nicely. Its okay to a minor side effect of headache happen to my daughter, but its fine after some time.
